For Assignment 8, I am blogging some comments about library-related wikis. I looked at 2: "Library Success: A Best Practices Wiki" and "BookLoversWiki" from Princeton Public Library. These sites were both well-organized (librarians at work!). The first site was a 1-stop shop for great ideas and information for all types of librarians. It strongly encourages participation, editing and solicits tips for improving. The second wiki had a featured book review, and FAQ section, and what I really liked, linkages to different genres of books (horror, mystery, etc.) and to the online catalog and book discussion groups. They really made it easy to join in the conversation.
